Lou Mini Read: More Commercials I Did

Please enjoy these two clips from a PBSKids thing I was asked to record for. Unlike with the James Patterson thing, when they asked for a scratch track and then used it for free on national television, I got paid for this one. I had recorded a scratch track for the client and they liked it but went off to get someone else to read it for them. I was just about to head home when I got a phone call from the recording studio. They hadn’t liked any of the talent they hired and the client wanted me to come in for a professional read. This is the result.

BIZARRE PBS KIDS

  1. PBS is a little weirder than I seem to remember from back when I was a kid. Who are the people who think this stuff up and what exactly were they trying to go for? I gotta ask has there ever been a time where you went in to read for a part and thought, “What in the hell is this gibberish.”

  2. The promos from PBS Kids is kind of little strange thought to me. Where should I see that kid promo of the one with “Play us the songs and sing the songs”, ‘Cause I really would like to see that promo again and not have that get stucked in to my head and be able to see it, if you have it. And i can also tell you that you’re promos on this web is so amazed with the one with the crazy stomach dance party thing.

  3. Holy crap, when did you record these? Both of these are burned into my brain from a long time ago. And to think I grew up to listen to that same voice reading about bestiality and pozzing. PBS really does nurture you from childhood to adulthood!
